Dr. Andrew Peterson is a distinguished physician whose remarkable career spans various facets of medicine, including healthcare, education, and military service.
His academic journey started with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mansfield State University of Pennsylvania, followed by earning his Doctor of Osteopathic degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Peterson’s early training included an internship at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center and a residency at the National Naval Medical Center. His military service from 2004 to 2011 showcased roles such as staff internist, clinic chief, and inpatient medical director at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center. Dr. Peterson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
In the civilian sector, Dr. Peterson has made significant contributions to the medical community, serving as President of the Medical Staff of Merit Health Biloxi, Medical Director at Saad’s Home Health and Hospice. Dr. Peterson is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internist and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
