Ben W. Cheney, M.D.
Dr. Ben Cheney is the senior partner at Biloxi Internal Medicine Clinic. He joined the practice of Dr. Marion Wainwright and Dr. Regina Mills in November of 1991 and has remained with this independent Internal Medicine practice throughout his career.
Dr. Cheney attended Millsaps College for two years and then transferred to the University of Mississippi where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1982. He attended medical School and earned his M.D. Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 1986. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Minnesota Medical School and became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1989. Upon completion of his Internal Medicine residency, he served as Chief Resident at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in St. Paul, MN. He left Minnesota for Biloxi in 1991.
Dr. Cheney has fulfilled a variety of leadership positions during his career. He was the Managing Partner at Biloxi Internal Medicine Clinic from 2005 to 2023. He has been President of the Medical Staff at Biloxi Regional Medical Center/Merit Health Biloxi for five terms, and he has been a Member of the Medical Executive Committee for over 20 years. He previously served on the Board at Coastal Family Health Clinic.
Dr. Cheney is a dedicated physician, and he is also a dedicated husband and father. He considers his family to be his greatest blessing.
Dr. Cheney is not accepting new patients at the present time.
